Default Weird Problem with Tranny and Speedometer

I dont know where else to post this, but since it was something to do with my transmission, i will post here.

awhile back, i did my gears and put in 3.73s. well the needle on the mph starts bouncing like crazy once i get up to 55 mph and higher, everything below 55 mph stays steady. so i got my gear ratio changed and figured it would go away, but it hasnt.

here is the weird part. when the needle is bouncing(usually on the highway), if i shift the car to neutral, it stops going crazy and stays steady. i have no idea what this problem could be. anybody know??

Hmm..seems kind of weird that it only happens when you have a load on the transmission. Have you checked out your VSS?

you can check resistance at the vss using a voltmeter, make sure you have a solid connection on the contacts. Should be 1260-1540 ohms. If it checks ok, could be a wiring issue, check for any knicked wires etc.
