Default What upgraded Flexplate did you get?

I think I have cracked my flexplate, I am curious on what type of flexplate ya'll have upgraded to? If you could provide a part # and price that would help me out. Also how many teeth does the flexplate have? Thanks

I got one of these right here when I did my TH400 upgrade.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-...Q5fAccessories

They are made by some small company in CA, I think their name was CAT industries or something like that but so far I have not had any issues. They are a very heavy duty looking piece with very nice welds to the starter ring. I did some research before buying one and there were mulitple people running them with no issues so I went for it, and so far I love my choice. I think I only paid $70 for it a year ago, it was either that or spend the $250 on the TCI one.

Here is the link to the manufacturers website, you can buy directly from them if you want, its probably cheaper, thats what I did.

Mine is probably making right at 500 on the bottle and I have not had any issues. The CAT flexplate is SFI rated so it will be fine. If I had some good pictures I woudl send them, its a pretty beefy unit and you can tell it is nicely made. To this point my best 60' has been 1.51 and I have gone 11.1 at 120 with this flexplate and no issues.

Yeah, those same flexplates are listed with other sellers for even cheaper than that link above^ On of them is listed at $54 with a "Best Offer" option too.
CAT.
Does anyone know if these will bolt up to a YANK 6-lug converter for a TH400/LS1 config?

The CAT is about twice as thick as stock. Very beefy in comparison.

The stock flexplates crack quite often, even with stock power. We had one crack in our C3/LS1 swapped car.

With that being said, the Vette now has a CAT flexplate as does our GTO. Great quality piece at a great price, get it!

I think I may need one, after a trip to the track, cutting a 1.47 60' I now have a nock right at my bellhousing area. oil pressure is good and I drove it 60 miles home after the noise.

I do have a borascope and am going to take a peek at it tomorrow, I hope this is my noise, it would suck to be the motor.

Mine: http://www.jegs.com/i/Hughes+Perform...P4004/10002/-1

Fit perfect. Bolt holes line up perfect with both a TH400 and 4L60. No drilling or oval holes required.
