As stated above the tranny is gone man. I would buy a PerformaBuilt and go on. DO NOT go with LOCAL REBUILDS THEY DO NOT WORK. I learned my lesson 2 man after a local shop did a rebuild and in one summer I blew the tranny 3 times in 3 months. I took my loss and called FRANK and ordered on of thier trannys and have never had a problem.

its not about the parts its about the parts/assembly and very much the hydraulics. This is why you see mnay local rebuilds go wrong . While not saying the shops are not good. Most are generic in they build all kinds of transmissions so they dont have the time or the resources to spend on any one type of unit learning and studying how to best make them work in a performance application. Just throwing the right parts in there and a shift kit will not result in long term performance durability.

Do not blame all local shops you just have to find a good one.I am a local shop & i would put my units against anyone elses anyday.I find that most customers haggle with price & get what they pay for.If you know what your doing and put the parts u need in it you should have no problems.

Like i said you went to the wrong local shop.I have seen my share of both of those sponsors units and they are no better than from someone local that knows what there doing.I am just saying don't bash all local stuff.I am sorry you had a bad experience and unfortunately that looks bad for the rest of us.I also know there are 2 sides to every story & we are only hearing your side.

Not sure what their quality control process is in their shop but things happen. Here at Finish Line Transmissions we have an Axiline Transmission dyno that we use to test all of our automatic transmission. With that being said our QC is pretty tight. We are confident when we ship transmissions they work! Here is a picture of the machine we use every day.
For your car and depending on what you plan on doing with it in the future I would recommend a build like either our 4l60e level 3 or 4 builds. These units can be view here. http://finishlinetrans.com/transmissions/index.htm
Take a look and if there is something we can do for you in the future, give us a call. Vince

I would contact (site sponsors)Yank, Circle D or FTI and see what they have to offer you. We see all of which come through the doors here at FLT. Also when a customer purchases a unit from us and a converter from them we will test them together on the transmission dyno I posted a picture of above.
All of which are quality converters and I see them as being a very good option for you. Give them a call and they will point you in the right direction. Vince
Sounds good. Talk to you then. Vince
