Question 4L60, fitting, cooler line?? HELP please

hey

I really need your help !!!

I'm abroad with my camaro z28 1993 4L60 and I loose some transmission fluid from the transmission cooler line.

I need your help because GM doesn't produce the line assembled anymore.

Do you know where I could get a transmission cooler line assembled???

or not, do you know the references for fittings????
the ones on the transmission??
and the ones on the radiator??
I found that about the radiator but I don't if it is right : (Transmission Oil Cooler: 11 1/2 in. (4 plate)) what means 4 plate???

then can I make the line with braided hoses??? from Russell ???

do you if it is the same fittings for the 4L60, the 700R4 and the 4L60E?????

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for any help !!!!

If it is the 5/16" line with the nut that screws into the case fitting, you can replace the line from an autoparts store, usually 60" long, (like brake line). You can also call Jegs or Summit and get the -6AN case fittings and convert your line to do the same or go with the steel braided line. OR you can get the new quick connects, also from Summit or Jegs.

I looked on Jegs and Summit, but not lot of things for my camaro...

if I take the hose from there:
http://www.russellperformance.com/mc..._prorace.shtml

and fittings from there (it is the only thing I found on jeg and summit websites):
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HDA-390/

should it be good???

on the summit website I can see two fittings, one for the transmission, the other for the radiator???

actually I'm in Europe and I shipped my camaro from tx. the deal is in Europe nobody drive automatic so.... the autoparts store told me to call GM....

if someone has any link, it could save me

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I guess I will try to find 4 fittings then use -6AN braided hoses to make the new cooler lines.

if someone can confirm if that makes sense it should be very nice

thanks for your help !

I have no idea why you'd waste the money on braided line, if anything it gives the rubber hose inside better protection so you can run it more carelessly.
I can't use a steel line because I have nothing to realize it.

I was thinking about braided line, because it should be more solid because the line will be close to the road (I mean close to the floor).

but if you tell me that rubber transmission cooler hoses are enough, I will try to find some. thanks

thank you very much for the links

actually, I can not check because my car is in France and me in Austria, but I guess I will order them.

just a last question

in your opinion it is better to make it with only rubber hoses or only a steel line? (I can't mix them like the original)

and what is the difference between 5/16" and -6AN???
