Default hard lockup

I have 15k miles on my rebuilt trans and all has been good.I change the fluid and filter and 2 days later I'm cruising down the hiway and have to slowdown because of traffic I go to accelerate and the converter locks up with a big thud and from then on it locks up hard I have to baby it when I get to lockup speed if I'm accelerating at all it locks up so hard I'm afraid it's going to break something. One time the lockup stuck on when I was coming to a stop sign and the motor stalled I turne the key off and restarted it then it was ok. Do you think something failed like the dampner inside the converter or could it be an issue with the lockup valve or TCC solinoid. The trans has a SK transgo kit that has the different valve that gets rid of the PWM and the converter is a reman trailblazer

I would look at the lockup solenoid and also the valve and spring above it.
