well i have a 98 a4 with a stall in my camaro. the problem is that when im driving normal from a dead and then take off the car skips 2nd gear and it goes to 3rd rite away. it also does this when im slowing down to make a right it stays in 3rd instead of going back to 2nd gear. but i've noticed that if i give it 1/2 throttle in the same situation it will kick down to 2nd gear. the car was throwing the code for shift selonoid A and B so i replaced them with GM's selonoids. but still have the same problem. i do have second gear if i manually do it.and another thing is the car unlocks and locks in the highway dont know why. any help would be appreciated. well the thing is that the tranny and converter have about 5k miles on them.but ill take it to a local shop to check it out.
