I have a rebuilt 4l60e with a transgo hd3 kit in it but it has no 4th gear. it does have 1st, 2nd, 3rd but no 4th. also when you put the trans in 4th it goes to 3rd. andyone have any ideas on the possible problem?

Check the location of the tightly wound purple spring you installed in the kit. You might have installed it in the wrong location and blocked the 3-4 shift valve.

Check your 2-4 servo travel. See attached instructions.

Ok on the 3-4 shift valve the HD3 tells you to remove and save a spring and install one on other side of valve , Some mistakenly think this means to reinstall that spring, But no its to be saved in case you want to go back to auto later, If reinstalled with the spring they supply for other side of valve it will result in the symptom you have.
