Default TH400 RMVB of choice

I'm ditching my 4L80E in favor of a 400. What is everyone's reverse manual valve body of choice. I'm considering cost to be important, but not if product quality has to suffer.

Oh yea, its a mud truck, will see 0-1% street use. 5.3 ls6 cam maggie @2500 stall, big tires, low gears.

Thanks... Brint

Why? Same internal components (for the most part).

A few different reasons really. -I already have about a 2500 stall converter for a 400, a good stall for an 80 is a pretty big investment.-I don't need OD.-I want a reverse pattern so I can quickly get to reverse from low and vice versa(yes I will give it adequate time to take gear before mashing down)

Last reason is because I have a clearance problem btwn the ps pump pulley and the steering box on the frame(Toyota truck), so I put a smaller pulley on the pump for clearance. Seemed like a good idea... but after just a few minutes of run time the pump starts raising hell and assist fades. I have been assuming its from overdriving the pump. So I added two coolers and an e fan, only makes it take another min or two to start screaming so no good there.

Sooo.... I am hoping that going to a 400 will allow me to move the engine back enough so that I will have enough clearance to put the oem pulley back on.

Sorry for the long **** reply but you asked for it.

LOL, yes I did. Since your on a budget, I would get a CKPerformance RVMB. Has the fastest 2-3 shift on a VB that is based on the stock VB.
