Default TH 400 sealing rings
I wanted to put teflon sealing rings in my TH400 rebuild the rings I got are the scarf cut orange ones but they are a lot thinner than the metal ones and fit the grooves real loose did I get the wrong rings is this normal

The rings you received are called scarf cut. They absolutely fine to use. Vince

Use them, they will work fine, and wear better than the cast iron rings, but do not air check very well.
