TransGo 4L60E-3 full manual reprogramming kit questions I was looking at this kit, does it convert the transmission fully manual as in shifting 1-2-3-4 only?
It says on the description that it for using 4L60Es in cars and eliminate the need for electrics.
I am converting to carb and thought this would help me rebuild my transmission and keep it?
Anyone used this kit before? And will it work like a normal auto when in D?

I just needed the automatic actuation part cleared out. Thanks for that buddy.
I had installed an HD2 kit on it already, so I wonder if I would need a new separator plate since I had already drilled mine out?
What about the TC? Will I need a lock-up or non-lock up?

If the transmission was originally behind an LT1 then a 700R4 converter will work. But they are basically the same converter. The right way to do it is to get a custom non lock up converter, I'm not sure about the 4L60E but the 700R4 needed a special tcc apply valve to run cool temps without a lock up clutch.
I will speak to YANK about it, see what Dave has to say.
