Same thing happened to me. I spent the $$ on changing the fluid and filter first, but it didnt change anything. Fluid level was good and didnt smell burnt either. I figured it was my own fault for not putting in the trans cooler when I planned on it.

I went with a Performabuilt level 2 and will use my 3200 Circle D stall. I can't comment on the trans since it got here yesterday and the car is at the shop now getting it installed.. but im hoping i wont be disappointed

I'm speechless.
You're going to put a **** local rebuild in front of a 12 bolt?
And obviously you don't know what they're going to do.
Probably tear it down and replace stock parts with stock parts.

Whats wrong with the $1400 CPT trans?

Is it because you can see a 12 bolt easier than a transmission? You can hear a cam but not a transmission?

You seem hell bent on wasting money.

Have fun learning.
maybe you should keep it that way

If I had to put my 2 Cents in, I'd say go with Finishline Transmissions. They are by far the coolest and friendliest guys with one of the best Transmissions I've ever owned. I have the level 4 4L60E Trans with a Yank 3000 Stall. The transmission can hold 700 rwhp all day.

I think I only paid $1950? Best bang for your buck, no doubt.

I just picked the car up this morning from the shop after having it installed.. I have only driven about 75 miles so far mixed city/highway, and I am definitely pleased. I used a Circle D 3200 stall from my other transmission and it is nice knowing you have a solid tranny that wont grenade on you if you get in it a little bit.
