Default Converter identification?

Is there a website that can help with converter ID? I have what is supposed to be a 2800 stall for a LT1, but it is used and came with a car that was purchased, uninstalled. It has the numbers 8892-L stamped on it, also the only other thing I saw stamped on it looked like a backwards D, an incomplete C and then what looks like a Squared off lowercase n. I want to sell it but I at least want some idea on what it really is.

I tried searching the internet for 8892-L, that didn't bring up anything at all useful.

I'll try to put pictures up later in the day, it has been repainted black though, looks like a light blue color under the black.
