Is there any difference with say a TCI convertor and a Yank supercharger/nos convertor. Are they built differently or all the same?

I have a supercharger sitting in my garage and a trans thats coming out and was wondering if I need a specific t/c or regular one. Looking at a 2800-3200 stall.
