th400 conversion? Converter suggestions? What all is needed to convert to a th400 from a manual besides different crossmember, vacume line, and shifter?
Also does anybody have converter suggestions for a 382 all bore motor that will peak fairly high, on a 300 shot, I've heard nitrous likes to pull and doesn't need as big a converter is that true or do I still want a really high stall?

So, you don't need any new parts for the TH400 conversion on a manual. The crossmember will be fine. You just need to shim the trans mount on the tailshaft down 1.25 to 1.50 inches depending on your setup. You can splice in the connector for the speedo into the factory harness pretty easy. You can also splice in the park / neutral safety switch to the lower sensor off the clutch pedal.
I have the same setup with a 4000 stall Neal Chance. We are going to tighten it up quite a bit as a result of my 300 shot runs. At 200 it engages great. At 300 it starts to power through it a bit. Not sure where I'm going to end up at when it's all said and done. Good thing is I can simply restall mine on the bench rather then sending it back.

A one piece is on par with any other one piece converter on the market. A two piece is upwards of twice the price depending on the application and size. Not for the faint of heart, but it's definitely worth it.
