Default Tranny Swap

Currently a M6. Looking to swap to an Auto.

Looking at a 700R4.
What all do I need?

I am goign 700R4 so I do not have to deal with any changes to the PCM.
Do I need a new cross member?
I also assume my drive shaft will work.
Will I need to replace the radiator, or does the M6 radiator have the holes for the cooler?
Thanks for your advise,

"A 700-r4 will NOT bolt up to an LS1." What? The 4L60E installed in the LS1 IS an electronic 700-R4! Its dimentions are the same, # of splines on the output shaft are the same, etc. You may need an A4 cross member and/or trans mount IF they are different than the M6 from the factory.
Beyond that, the only trick with the 700 R4 is controlling the lock-up converter. Both lock-up and un-lock. BUT, there IS a wiring kit available.
If you don't want to mess with the OD and lock-up in the 700 R4, install a 350 and be done with it.
It's a little more involved than what I have stated but it IS a relatively easy swap.

Thanks for the input. The 350 idea would be nice, but I am worried about spinning at 3.5K while driving at 70mph.
I belive the 350 would also be halve the cost.

A stock crossmember from a A4 car will work and the driveshaft too. Wiring the lock up is simple. It will bolt up without an adapter. I believe the dipstick from a 4l60e will work also. TQ arm should bolt right up too.
