That's just wrong. Nothing against PB, but how could a printing error like that happen?

That's criminal!!! At least post a Performabuilt car who uses a "transmission designed for the serious player in the horsepower games"

I don't get GMHP anymore did the article say it was MM's car? Or was it an article about performabuilt trans and they used your picture? Eitherway doesn't seem right.

Article was about Performabuilt transmissions and GMHTP obviously used David's car by looking at the license plate "Mit Mous"

I would say that was the magazines fault, not Performabuilts. They were just trying to get the point across about the serious car statement and found a serious fast car to post a picture of, but you would think they would at least pick a car with one of thier transmissions in it.

once stuff goes to the Mag. writers, no telling what they come up with

Sorry MM to see that basically your cars photo was used to promote another companies image. It happens all the time. I actually called them out once before on a similar matter and got some excuse how they did some kind of google picture thing. Frank claimed he had nothing to do with it. However I still see that TCI TH350 on there site! IMO if your going to put your name on it it better be yours! That's just wrong. Vince

We had no part in the picture of that car used in the article and dont even know whos car that is the picture we sent to be used is of a GTO belonging to Roger Chapman.

This is the car that should been the picture used so I dont know what happened here,
Sorry for any confusion but it falls to the magazine not us.

Sorry for the confusion everyone, the implication was only that Mighty Mouse uses a 4L80E, not that he uses a Performabuilt trans. For those who haven't read it, PB helped provide our readers with a wonderful introduction to the 4L80E as the go-to automatic trans for modern high-powered streetcars by giving us a look inside their 1,000+ rwhp capable version. This picture was used due to technical difficulty with the provided GTO picture supplied by Performabuilt, and had to be substituted at the last minute, but is meant as a reminder of its awesome potential. Nowhere in the article does it say that MM uses a Performabuilt trans, though it does make reference to at least one of PB's customers.

Glad to see you guys clear this up, the bashers were crawling out of the woodwork like roaches......

Everybody is quick to jump the gun on stuff like this, glad to see this was addressed by the magazine, it was definitely misleading, just not intentional.

scott;

i'm always excited to see the car in the mag; so thanks for that. but..

put yourself in the shoes of my trans builder who has worked very hard to give me the great equipment that i have...

.. seeing me in an advertisement for another trans company is a big bummer.

i would have been happy to have given you my guys name / company / website immediately via email/pm/phone call.. would have made for a very nice caption and everybody wins.

hopefully we'll get him next time.

If you knew who his builder was, you'd understand why. I will let Dave give out that info...

Dave has been very helpful in pointing me to some of his sources for my build.
