Default ss4000, is it spray worthy!

My mods are in the sign. I need some more convertor for my motor setup at the track. But I also want to spray at the most a 150 shot later. My question is the convertor going to hurt my spray numbers. Thanks.

It will be fine with that level. If you are consistently going to spray 150 shot, I'd choose the SS3800. If you think it is more likely to be 100 shot, I'd go to the 4200.

Thanks for the help. I just want something that will give me some better 60 ft's and still run good or be happy with the spray.

I used to spray a 125 shot on a TP4600 a few years ago. That converter STUNK for nitrous use but I still ran 10.8s with an internally stock engine. Anyway, I have the SS4000 now and I think it'll be fine for a 150 shot. Maybe not the absolute best for a 150 shot but you won't be giving up much and it's NA performance more than makes up for that. My shift extension is about 5300 running NA and shifting at ~6650 now. I'd suggest that you shift about 400-500 RPM below your best NA shift point when on the juice.

Thanks, that is what I'm looking for. I want great n/a use but hope to have some good nitrous use too. I know you can't have the best of both worlds. But I would like to be close.

I think this converter is as close as you can get to having the best of both.

Somewhat related question.....Colonel, do you think Vig multidisc 4000 would be too much for 3.23 gear, DR's or ET streets, 4l60e trans, 382 stroker w/ X1 cam, and 150 wet shot? I want to run good NA and on nitrous, sort of "best of both worlds".

I admit, I'm not up on the latest Vigs. If their stall speed ratings are like they used to be (as in, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY underrated) then it would NOT be a good nitrous converter at all. Maybe they started rating them honestly?
