700r4 in a 77 GMC Sierra pick up
I have a 77 GMC Sierra and it has a 3 speed auto trans that is slipping and really on it's last legs. I found a great deal for a 700r4 and was wondering if it will be a simple swap or would I need some kind of adapter plates. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply! Well you see the truck is my daily driver and what I drive to school but the camaro is the fun car so we put more money into that. However having 3 speeds with a v8 truck isn't the most gas friendly setup.
It is a 2wd long bed truck. However I don't know what kind of tranny is in it. I will take some pictures and post them up.
Also about the torque converter lock up and geometry correction bracket, where could I get those for this swap?
