My py 3400 e converter some observations and questions?
I have been running my py3400e for a month or two now. Some observations I find it pretty tight in around town driving but it seems loose enough when boosting ,can easily hit decent boost level for launching on my two step.
But couple questions. Yank told me not to lock it up past 30% or so throttle with my power. So haven't been and only been locking it up in 4th gear. How much extra heat would I get from not locking it up in third around town?
Also it seems to be a bit harsh when it goes into lockup so that is another reason not sure wanted to lock it up around town. I also have a precision industries 2800 in my 96z28. That one has super smooth lock up but is set to stock settings in the tune. I have played with a few settings on my 99TT tune and so far as said that lockup on the yank seems harsher.
Is that just the way yanks are or do I need to maybe play with my tune more or get more miles on it. I did break in on the yank converter as specified by yank. So don't think anything wrong with it. At least hope not.
So is yank fairly harsh lockup the way they are or tune.

higher stall will have a harsher lock up, I have my lock up speed set to 55mph, so that I hit cruising speed before it locks up. 4th gear only on the lock up for me.
I set my lock up so that it has the least amount of speed difference to couple or a better way to put it is the least amount of slippage to couple.
