Exclamation need help with stall size

98 camaro
rebuilt LS1
bbk intake
full bolt-on's
gt2-3 cam
stock 243 heads
stock 342 gears
built th350
.......ok here is the question.
i ran my car with a 3500 stall but only 1st gear feels like it pulls. i shift at 6500 rpms and everytime i shift it stays at 6500 rpms.
id like to change stall size. what stall size do yall recommend. i know the 3500 is too big since the cam is not so much a high reving cam.

please help me out. i bought a new stock th350 stall but what do yall think ?

Is it a daily driver? Are you going to use Nitrous? go with a 4k stall

I agree...a 4k stall is a great stall but if it is street driven make sure it is a lockup converter and find one with an anti-balloning plate if spraying...but defenitely at least a 3500

3600 is good for nitrous, get a yank or circle d, your stall must be broken it shouldnt stay at 6500 after you shift at 6500.
