Stripped converter bolt

I am doing my trans/converter swap and in the process of removing the Allen head bolt that holds the converter in I stripped the head of the bolt out. I am looking for some suggestions on getting it out. Thanks!

Vicegrips, or blow the head off the bolt with a cutting torch but then you will have to remove the threader part of the bolt. you could grind the head off also. Once you get the head off, center punch the threaded part and drill a hole in it for an easy out. Normally a reavarse drill bit will take them out without much trouble.

IF its in there from the factory or elsewhere it might have locktight on it. might need some heat to melt the locktight.

yes lil propane torch goes long way. also inside is allen the outside i think u can still use a socket. but heat first.

They also make a round off bolt kit you could try. You can get them at Sears for like $10 or so.

I just helped a guy out w/ this problem.U need a center punch w/ a nice sharp point on it and dig it into the corner of the bolt to get a good bite and hit it w/ a big hammer in the direction to loosen it.Worked great for me.
