If the trans was fine before, I would say its the converter or improper installation of. Who installed it, did they make sure that the converter engaged 3 times when installing it on the trans? Did they make sure to bolt the 3 converter bolts to the flexplate???

i know a shop did this but ive seen people do stupid things. As stated before the converter if empty will suck up ALOT of fluid when its started. If the fluid was low already in the trans and the conver was dry the fluid could be low enough now that the pump cant pick it up. Just a thought but if thats not it then plan on another converter.
