Default How will my stall affect my dyno results?

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I want to ask... How will a stall affect numbers made on a dyno? Specifically a Yank SS3200. I recall one story where a guy dyno'd his truck with the stock converter, then put in a yank, and dyno'd 40rwhp LESS. Any incite to this? Also, with 3.73's affect my numbers at all over the 3.23's?

We just finished so testing on the SS3200 in a 2009 GXP LS-3.
This car was stock as was the converter it put down in 3rd gear 334.87 RWHP and the SS3200 came in at 344.44 RWHP.
So I would say the SS3200 making more power to the wheels that the stock converter.
the 10 Hp is due to the lighter weight and the improved internal design of the converter you can not go wrong with this SS3200

I would not worry about it. Go to the track and see what it does. I just changed out my Yank torque converter for a Yank higher stall one and lost 10 horsepower on dyno. However at the track I went faster. I beat one car making 25 more rwhp on the same dyno I went on. He was not running a Yank. Hahaha. He is now though. Dave if you read this post you probably talked to him and sold him a SS4000 for his third gen camaro around 6-8 weeks ago.

Dyno's are tuning tools. Pure and simple. Internet warriors like dyno numbers. Go race your car and see how it does. If it ET's who cares if it says you made 360.
