95 camaro 700r4 wont upshift I know i said 95 but the camaro has a 700r4 and a 93 lt1 swapped in it and the problem is that it refuses to upshift. Every once in a great while it will upshift under very light throttle but never above second gear. I want to put a full manual valve body in it. Thats why i swapped out the 3.4 and the 4L60E for the 93 LT1 setup. This car is my toy so would the full manual valve body wipe out the governor and the throttle valve since thats most likely where the problem is?

I'd remove the pan and check for metal.
Excessive metal particles from a failing hardpart can get in the governor and throttle valve making them stick. (and other valves)
It would still be a good idea to look at the throttle valve to see if it's sticking, then clean it. Also check the governor gear and valve.
