Default TCI Flex plate question...

I cant for the life of me find this info(even tho I found it 6 months ago). I am putting a powerglide that has been turbo splined and a th400 stall up against a ls1 using the tci flex plate. The plate came with a spacer and I am pretty sure it goes in the end of the crank but I cant remember for sure. Could someone give me a link to an old thread or something. Any help is appreciated.

You need to use the spacer when using a non LS converter.

is the flywheel pretty flat, and on the engine side have a small spacer made on it, and is the spacer you have round, where it would fit into the crank, and the other side fit into a converter-depending on the flywheel, and if its a 350-400 style converter, the spacer takes up the space bet the crank and converter snout-be nice if you had the flywheel #-did it come with 6 longer bolts

I bought the tci flex came with the spacer and six bolts, I dont know if they are longer than the original ones because I didnt get any with the motor. THe plate is pretty flat and the spacer is stepped, with 2 O.D.'s and the same I.D. as the crank. I bolted the flex on and slid the spacer in the end of the crank, I just got some bellhousing bolts today but havent tried to put the converter or trans in yet. Just wandering if all is right so far.

i used the 399754, they listed it as a wide conv bolt pattern, the 753 is i guess a small pattern-i think the 754 was sold as a replacement for the 6 bolt 4l80e converter, but it fit my aftermarket converter
just ck that your converter bolt pattern matches up, and you should be fine-the spacer just makes up the distance bet the crank and conv. snout-a
4l60e conv would have a longer snout
just ck the distance bet the flywheel and the converter feet when you put it together, make sure its not to tight or to far away
