Default TH400 Trans Brake ??????????????

Theres another thread about the who makes the best brake but I just want to know the TRUTH about whether to use reverse or put in neutral and apply the brake to back up?

with a th400 you can do either. just put it in reverse and go or put it in nuetral and engage the brake, the choice is yours. on a th350 you have to use the brake.

Depends on who made the transbrake valve body. Their are many variations.
I provide instructions with each unit I sell.

Exactly
The "facts" stated above are ill-informed at best.
Most TH400 pro-brakes require the t-brake solenoid to be activated for reverse.

If you want to know for sure, put a pressure gauge on it and see what the pressures look like in reverse and then neutral with the button engaged.

thats not what i was told my carl rossler. on a side note whats the difference anyway? whats the big deal about pushing a freaking button?

my other ? is which port is the pressure/return line for the cooler on the trans? Thanks
