Default no overdrive after fixing simple leak!!!!

as im driving to work this morning my 96 4l60e trans dosnt want to go into overdrive for some reason.. yesterday after 2 month of a leaking trans pan gasket i pulled the pan cleaned it up put a new gasket on and put back the fluid that came out of it..plus two quarts. i was driving fine before that but just with a drip on the driveway from the gasket. o the filter also was changed. what do you think it is? the linkage is fine as i shifted 1-2-3. no 4th or od? any thoughts or test i should do when i get home from work.. its killing me that i stoped a simple leak and noW it dosnt shift lol..... any help would be great.. Theres a hole in the pan rail under the servo, make sure it's not blocked by the gasket.

No check engine light?

Check that the wiring didn't get bumped and all the solenoid plugs are in place.

That code did not pop up from changing pan gasket.1870 "transmission Componant slipping" is usually the torque converter slipping. The most common problem is the tcc regulator valve in v/b.Other problems are 1) afl valve in v/b 2) lock up solenoid 3)converter 4) stator bushings are worn out.

yea it was leaking for a few months but nothing bad. on one the bolts had fluid passing threw it even with sealent so i figured ill change the gasket.. and then no overdrive lol. i was looking on ebay and found a 1870 repair kit with gaskets, transgo plate and fix,and upgraded pistions fro 109. ill also buy another lockup as stated above with new a and b solenoids. they dont cost much so ill put them in while its out.. i was thinking about the transgo reprogramer but it said it needs stock pressure and my pcm tune boosted it up already. dont feel like reprograming it as it just a street truck.

Well with no forth and 4th being comanded the rpm may be to high and cause the 1870 code. If you inadvertedly blocked the small hole at the servo pan gasket area you will not have 4th, Since changing the gasket is all you did thats where i would look first

The hole is just under the servo on the pan rail. You will see the pan has a little notch where it mates up to case.
