4L80e swap help please...have I goofed up?
After going thru several 4L60e's in this 99' TA, I decided to put a 4L80e in it.
I knew I would need the trans, converter, cross member, etc. I didn't consider needing to do computer work to make it work. I was told it would need a "segment swap" to work. I have no clue what this is or how to go about doing it.
I do not have any tuning software, is this what's needed?
I've called one shop that said they could do it for me after I get the conversion done. They priced me doing the segment swap and dyno time @ $600
Is this my best bet or what should I do?
TIA

Contact Frost. He is a member here and a tuner. He did the segment swap for me a couple of years ago when I did my 80 swap. Now you don't even need the segment swap anymore. There's a new way of making it work. I haven't done it yet, so PM him for the details.
