Not good. You basically drill out 3 holes and disable accumulation. You can make a kit like this.
The end result is banging shifts, firm shifts are what you want at most. And the kit does nothing to solve problems the trans might develop over time.

Imagine paying $85 for $5 VB gaskets, two drill bits, and spacers that can do the job of a stack of 3/8" nuts.

I installed one of these kits in my 90 TBI truck with a 700r4 about 12 years ago. As the above post stated all I remember doing was drilling out a couple of holes in the separator plate, moving some check ***** around, and blocking the accumulators. It cluncked at part throttle shifts, and the end result was the servo blowing out the side of my trans and leaking fluid all over the road.

Sounds like this is the shift kit in my car, only had it for almost 3 months, one of the selling points was a built 4L60E at 100k, bought it at ~126k and its now at 130k. 1-2 shifts hard if I let it go around 2200-2400, 2-3-4 are all quick and smooth. If I let it shift below 2000 on 1-2 its really smooth and quick, and above about 3500 it chirps the back tires every time, I like it 
. Its not that bad, I've gotten used to it as it is my DD. It most likely is due to the fact the tranny was rebuilt along with this kit. I'm no pro, very, very, very far from it, but I've heard both the good and bad sides of our transmission and self installation without building the rest of the transmission may turn yours into what happened to Kevin01Z28's truck.
