Fluid out the vent tube?
Fluid is coming out the transmission vent tube in the engine bay while I'm driving, which falls onto the exhaust, making a big stinky smoke cloud. I've been keeping an eye on the fluid and topping it off when needed.
I've read that this could be caused by a clogged cooler and/or cooler lines. I haven't checked this yet, but in the event there is a clog, I need to know what parts to buy.
I was just going to replace the whole system with new aftermarket tubing and lines. What fittings do I need to screw into the transmission that I can clamp hoses to? If anyone has done this, or can give some advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
By the way, I got my info from here: http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f13/4l...utions-297698/

A better test would be to drive when you think the converter is locked up and push the gas a little more, not enough to unlock it, then tap the brake pedal and look at the tach.
