Default Dented Trannsmission Housing

Did a tranny mount on an automatic 95 LT1 TA today and noticed the bellhousing(?)-the part that is right behind the engine oil pan-is dented in a little. Not a huge dent, but it looks like maybe somebody jacked it up there at some point (maybe on a past tranny mount install?)

Could this cause problems? If so, what?

Thats a thin sheet metal cover, as long as it's not hitting the flexplate/converter it won't be a problem. Some people just leave this cover off.

Didn't even notice that, good deal! We drove the car afterwards and it drove fine and everything. I was just making sure! Thanks.
