my tranny let go with 9500 miles on it, 600 of them with the sig specs. I dont have 2000-3500 laying around to buy a built tranny from here, been doing alot of reading and research on building my own, alto reds carbon bands transgo kit, sun shell, pro yank converter, servos Im wanting to learn how to build the 4l60-65 to hold 600plus on the tire, anybody have any tricks/ tips on these trannys, this hole bigger, this spring heavier, put a hole here. ect.....
flt, performer, guys any help would be greatly appreciated, FROM ANYBODY

Certain things aren't shared such as drill this hole here, heavier spring there.
From what I've learned and guessed is that the sponsors that sell whole transmissions aren't going to give you a build sheet and short themselves by missing a sale. It's a business thats just how it is.
Then theres Dana from Pro Built who sells kits for people like you. He'll put together a kit based on your application and use. It save you from having to decide what frictions to select, etc.
And remember it's not the parts it's the builder. Some people could walk into a sponsors shop with their core, have the sponsor pick the parts, allow use of all their tools, let you inspect each part, recondition or replace certain things, and still end up with a poorly built transmission.

for the sponsors i now its money out of there pockets but damn, there are guys out here that dont have the coin to drop on there trannys, there is still good rep. for them to help guys out, (like me) and im sure there are more then just me,
while I admire your enthusiasim to want to learn how to build a 60 for 600hp I think you have alot of learning to do. To make a 60 hold up to the power your talking bout it takes more than part to do it it takes exp. and these are actually earned secrets that we have gained by being in the shop sweating all day and doing the hard work to learn this. The biggest reason I want give you any specs is due to the fact that I gove you these specs and you try to build this trans and it doesnt work the first thing you will do is say this guy doesnt know ****. The stuff you are askin for is kinda in a weird sense sacred to the builders and this is our way of life. My advise to yo is too spend some time in the trenches and learn not expect for someone to give you a free ride. not trying to be a dick or anything but its jst the way it is. But for what your lookin for contact dana as mentioned
comments like that will keep people from even coming back to ls1tech.com. Then they won't even see, ls1tech's sponsors! This fella can find the info online, probably a lot of sites, why don't we try and keep him here, in our "trench".
But to be helpful, maybe 9, u should look into a 4l80e, it is money better spent, with trans brake options and was originally design to be more heavy-duty (t-400 like). The power numbers that u want to ride around on sounds more like a job for an 80e.

I know the 80 is more up to the task of my hp goals, but i dont want to cut up the car to get a 80 to fit, My wife and I have own the car since new, and there is only 9500 miles on the car now, just would like the simplicity of pulling and just putting right back up with no modding to the car to get it to fit,
My car is 95% street so the hp goal of 6-700 on the tire is just to see on the dyno, It will see track time maybe 4-6 time a year, will the 65 holed up to the street punishing that it will see most of its life
