Default My car sucks on a roll. Stall time!

I went out with a few friends to do some highway pulls. I noticed my car sucks *** from a roll over 35 mph. From a dig, it's a beast! I know I need a stall. What stall size would be best for a full bolt on ls1 with 3.73's? I like dig races better then rolls. Most of my racing is from a dig or at the track.

Anywhere from 3200 to 4000 depending on what you like. I suggest a Yank or a Vigilante.

A Yank SS3600 is the best all around converter for what u need.

4000-4600 then, at minimum. At least that's what I would do...

i have an ss3600 and never drove a stalled ls1 before. if you can drive one an ss3600 is far from stock. but its great. the 4000 is alot looser.

I went from stock to 4000 as a daily driver and love it, I almost wished I went for the 4400. If it is a weekend car and sees a lot highway action I would definitely go for 4000 plus.

ummmm no. I had a 3200 stall at first thinking that would be enough for me. after driving it for a few months it felt stock and i got bored with it. decided to go with a 4000 and am glad i did. i drive the car everyday and love the way it feels.

definitely dont be afraid of a big converter.

I have had 2 different converters...and i still beleive an auto sucks from a roll with or without a converter compared to a 6spd!..until they make a roll racing section at the track ill stick to digs!!

The Stalled Auto will put more power to the ground that the M6 car
in this test two stock GXP LS3 cars are compared.
As you can see the stalled car with either the SS3200 or the SS3600 put down more HP to the wheels and did this almost thru the complete RPM range.

Yank,

Question, what was the purpose of the old SY converters? All I remember is it was good for street/highway? It was 10 years ago, so I do not remember lol. I have the SY4000 and love it, but noticed you do not sell it anymore.

Thanks
