Tune for converter install?
I'm putting in a baby(by most standards here) converter soon and was wondering if I'll need a retune for it. It's a yank 2600 stall.
Thanks guys and gals

i read on the sticky yesterday that u might need to retune , because is gonna rev so much faster, and u might bounce off the rev limiter...that was with a 3800, that happens to be what im gonna do next week...im a newbie, but for that stall (2600)i will drive it first and then see how you like it, also you may want to adjust the line pressure on the pcm..to take advantage of the new stall...

Some cars react differently, I don't think you will have a problem with that small of a stall.
Mine never set any slipping codes nor did it have stall wall with stock tune.
I did adjust torque converter lock up and unlock, took out torque management, bumped up line pressure, and changed shift points (mainly low throttle) with efi live just for my driving preferences.

You might want to have it tuned again because most likely ur pressure was bumped up the last tune and Frost might have take the pressure back down so it wont shift to hard. But you could be safe, this is based off what he was telling me.
