Is there such a thing? I would really like closer gear ratios between first and second while maintaining my highway cruising RPM's. My car is approaching 100k miles on the factory tranny and when the time comes for a new transmission, I want new gear ratios.
Also, what would need to be done to the PCM to keep the computer in check? Shift points, speedometer readings, etc. Could this be done with something like HP tuners or EFI Live, or any garage equipped with such tuning software?
Thanks!

There is another gear ratio set, (2.84 first gear) but it is very expensive, and they make some BS claims as to what it will do. You would be much better at getting a good torque converter for about 60% of what the gear set would cost.

yep with the shift extension of a good stall converter you will be a happy camper. that gearset they are talking about is right at 1100 bucks. I have used one of them myself basically its like driving a car with a 4l80e in it. If you were gonna go that route best would be to get a 4l80e that way you would have the gear ratio and the strength. furthermore why wuld you spend 1100 bucks just on a hrd part for a 60e lol kinda stupid considering the plantes are not the weakness anyways you would still have a 1100 dollar gearset in a weak trans. oh and yes iwas one of the stupid one that tried it lol.
