Question keep breaking flywheels!!

I have a gmpp 350 290hp crate motor in a '86 silverado with a tci th350 with a 1900-2400 stall. my problem is i broke 2 flywheels around the bolt pattern of the crank. the flywheels i have are pioneer non sfi approved. should I buy a heavy duty one? i'm lost any help would be very helpful!!!

Do you have the dowel pins in the block?

im trying to think of what he said he's deployed so i can't ask him but i think he said something about going back to the gm flexplates. I thought it sounded funny when i heard it but who knows, just throwing it out there

thanks man, i'm just gonna get an sfi approved flexplate and grade 8 bolts oh and a dang dowel pin! must have got in a hurry and forgot it

Flexplate not flywheel.

They will break without the dowel pins, I have seen it before. They aren't perfectly centered without them.

i think he was talking about the 2 dowel pins in the block, not the crank
are you missing them in the block or crank
