Default 4l70 guts in a 4l60e

Sorry for the newb question Idid a search and couldn;t really find anything that gave the rundown. I have been told they are interchangeable, but would like to know if there is any gain from doing this. I have acess to a 70 out of a truck and would like to beef up my 60 in my 02 camaro.

Thanks for the help

Well you could sap the guts and yes it would work . it would not be alot stronger of thats all you did. But it would actually be easier just to use te 4l70e as long as its a 2wd you would just need to change the slector shaft which is easy its longer than the one in the camaro.

I was hoping for some strength from the 70 and it is a 4wd so it will be a swap situation

Well you will just need to swap the output shaft still no need to change the case.
There will be a minor improvement but still nothing even close to a level 1 built 4l60e even.
