Help with mystery meat stall
http://www.gopnh.com/Automotive-Part...2.cfm?tcID=179
Getting a rescued 94 LT1 auto back together. Starting with a stock, low-miles engine. The rebuilt trans that came with the car has a shift kit and upgraded valve body, but nothing particularly special. The link above is the only info I have on the TC in the trans.
Label indicates it's a 4842HS. No other clue. Installing a QuickTime RM-932 flexplate, and bigger stall (Yank 3600) in the spring to compliment an AI 190cc head/ cam package. Just want to know what to expect and what I need to know to tune for it in the interim.

I am very familiar with those converters. The HS is only a couple/few hundred rpms higher than a stock one. So with that being said you might want to consider a different converter if you are looking for more performance. As for the tuning portion with that converter there is really not much because it is a stock converter.
Thanks for the info- I'm traditionally a manual trans guy with F bodies. What, pardon the embarrassing question, is the stock RPM spec on the 93-97 F-Body 4L60E with 2.73:1 rear gear?
