Thats a pretty good time. My LS1 with bolt ons went 13.1..

I have not bought an external trans cooler yet. So far so good. I think I will call Revmaxx tomorrow just to double check what you are saying. If they suggest me to get one as well then I will pick one up.
Im hoping you didn't install the converter? It is a MUST to have a transmission cooler. I put a 2800 stall on my 94 z28 awhile back and thought I wuld be fine without a cooler. Car only had 56,000 miles. I had to replace my transmission 3 months later... How long have you had the converter in there without a cooler? You have probably got that thing very hott and ur lucky if you havent done damage yet

About 7 months or so.. Have around 4000 miles on it and 8 passes at the track.. Check the fluid in it once a week and it is clean and the tranny shifts very nicely as well.

Wait for it. Synthetic fluid looks and smells burnt alot of the time anyway so it might be hard for someone who doesn't know to much about cars to see if it is actually burnt or not. It will shift nice while its hot, but not for long.... Your lucky so far, but you are going to do damage if you don't get a cooler. I gurantee you that. You will be very lucky if you havent done damage yet.

The scary part is you have raced it and beat it a little. If it was all highway driving it wouldn't be to bad. If ur just dailly driving it now you might be ok. If ur going to be awhile before you get a cooler just try to avoid having it shift alot at low speeds in traffic and you should be ok

Ur stall isn't to high I would look around for a decent one. Don't pay $100 for one. As long as you don't beat up on the tranny while you drive it you will be fine.

Z99LS1 has the B&M 65.00 one from summit. That one looks pretty nice. Might try to get it at Autozone as I get a good discount though them. Last thing I need is my tranny to go because of fluid overheating. I will probably change the fluid and filter again after I install the cooler just to be safe.

No problem. Just give them a call and talk to them about your setup and what you want out of your car. They are very knowledgable and will get you what you want for a great price..

I ordered one last week and it showed up today. I went with the 3200 since the car is my daily driver, I'll prob end up wishing I had went with the 3600 later, but oh well. I spent alittle extra on an anti-ballooning plate, woven carbon-fiber lockup clutch, and sprag accordion springs.

Anything has got to be better than the stock GTO converter and 2.0 60ft blows.

It was $419 to my door. I'll know next month at a track rental event how much I picked up.

What doesn't make since to me is that the one in the pic he posted is way smaller than stock, but revmax site shows them being a 300mm converter
