i said i couldnt find that info.this other guy on ls1.com claimed all that name changing stuff.idk.all i know is i only want to hear from people that have revmax experience.im actually waiting to hear something bad about their product.so far nothing.like eveyone saying the clutch is gonna nuke on em,or it throws trash into their pump.cause i just dont think thats gonna happen.but im looking for some threads that tell me otherwise.
i will say this.
its a little tight at idle.
and i cant wait to get a scanner hooked up to see if its locking up properly and efficiently.i will post what i find.

I saw a 1.9 short time with a 3200 converter.. something like a 1.7 with a 3600.. etc etc.

Those are good enough reason for me.

What was the da? Race weight?

That is one.. So 1 out of 5 that I can recall seeing short times that are decent. I'm not spending 300$ for a 20% chance to get something decent. I will however spend 450$ for something guaranteed to cut an amazing sixty foot.

SexyTransAm, how is this converter preforming from a, say, 50MPH
or 80 MPH roll?

cant say iv evert hit it from that high of a roll. but from 30 or so it hits hard! but i dont just leave it in drive and punch it, i slowley down shift it by hand and get in the right gear for the MPH.

Thats the right way to do it... If you ever roll race and let it downshift imo ur just dumb. People over here always try telling me you shouldn't hold it in gear, but it is just dumb to roll race and let it downshift.

Correct.. But yank vig circle d any of them would be a better choice for an extra 150$, that is a no brainer. In 6 months you won't miss 150$ at all, in six months you will be mad you aren't running .3 quicker or trapping 3mph faster

I leave mine in od. If you race enough and know your car good enough you can kick it at the correct time.

I do not let mine downshift from a roll either. Especially not with a stock transmission. They are not designed to put up with that kind of abuse. Engaging the gear ahead of time allows the clutches to fully bite before the power is applied. As soon as I floor it I upshift it to D and let the computer control the shifting.

well im getting a Revmax 3200 with all the bells and whistles. Got it for a good deal, guy was gonna stick around street lvl stall but then decided to go another route so had this one left behind so i was like, ill tak eit and try it out. Never been installed. Has upgraded clutch, sprags, antiballon plate, and (gasp) a billet front cover. rated to 750 hp. not even gonna see 550 ever lol THings gonna have a hell of a time when i get it. Got plans for a rear mount turbo set up, a nurnburgring laps, racewars, some dyno time, and plain old autobahn cruzing. Im litteraly gonna try and neutron star destroy this thing as much as i can If i have a fail story so be it but im gonna actully test this thing out and let everyone know ONCE and FOR ALL what these things are made of and if they can handle a street car and moderate FI power. Im gonna try and get a run without the TC, then with the Stall without any turbo. Then ill do a run with all mods installed and ready to go.

Yep, my intention was never to bash them either. My point from the beginning was to A. show buyers exactly what they are buying vs. what others are spending their money on and B. that sponsors here also have budget converters available.
