I've heard that transgo shift kits give you a manual valve body. But i recently learned that they dont, the just give you something similar. Has any installed a shift kit, on a 4l60e, that has something similar to this?

 

Yea, you need to buy the kit that says it converts it to full manual.

 

The TransGo shift kit, just allows you to hold a specific gear without shifting at WOT. Say the gear selector is in 3rd gear, You will be able to run the car all the way to redline in 3rd gear without shifting into 4th. However, most people would rather have it automatically shift in to 4th at redline, to keep stress down, or a chance of overreving an engine.

But for a FULL MANUAL valve body, you will have to buy just that... a full manual valve body kit.

I was just referring to the 1 that gave him full manual control b/c thats what he was asking for in his Original Post. But yes you are correct.
