They are an interesting idea but a poor exicution. They pump the paddle shift feature that does absolutely nothing when you downshift. The transmission has zero engine braking.

I actually have one in my 67 Camaro and love it. It does everything its supposed to. It is mated to a crate motor 502 and after installing, my 1/8 mile times went down and it up shifts and down shifts better than my turbo 350 did. And with the overdrive, I can actually get on the interstate and drive now. I installed it with the new trans controller they offer and it makes it really trick. I can switch mine from manual shift to automatic shift which I think is really cool.
Its a little expensive but if I had to do it again I would. And by the way, I love the paddle shifter. I say go for it!!

I have put about 5000 hwy miles and about 40 1/8 mile passes on it up till now. My TCI tech guys name was Kevin. Give him a call, he was a huge help and nailed the converter setup.
