Trans. Temp. Problems.......
I tried this post in the basic assistance thread but no luck.... Heres my problem I installed a 24000 B&M trans cooler.. To make thing easier I bought a tee to tie into the line that goes in the trans cooler. I put the sending unit in the tee, wired everything up on the guage. But I cant get the gauge to read a temp.. I took my water temp sender and hooked it up to the trans gauge and it works but when you hook the trans sender & hook it to the water temp gauge NOTHING... Is it possible the sending unit is bad, or am I doing something wrong?

If you have rubber hose for your cooler lines you will have to ground the t-fitting/sender. Get a small hose clamp and clamp a piece of wire to the metal part of the 'T' and the other side to ground.
If everything is wired right and you ground the wire going to the semder the guage will pin all the way to hot. Its most likely OK since it works on the water temp sender.
