Question I have Manually shift into 3rd and 4th HELP !!!

I have a 94 Camaro LT1, When taking off I have to start in 1st or 2nd. When i get up to speed i can shift it into 3rd and then into 4th. From a dead stop car wont move in OD or D. What is causing this ?

Thanks ! How hard is it to change the sprag? Do I have to tear it down or take it out?

Yes removal and tear down with possible rebuild and certainly parts replaced min

You have a sprag failure plain and simple. I'm sure if the trans has some miles on it you will have to have a full rebuild. If you need any other advise let me know. Vince
