Some really good 60fts. I am hoping for a 1.7 60ft with the 3400 stall. If I had a mt dr or something stickier I would think a 1.6 would be possible, but with my nitto dr's I will be happy to hook a 1.7x

I love it. I have had no problems with it what so ever. One thing I really like about FTI is that they actually custom build your converter. I haven't found a person with a FTI converter that disliked it. I can't really compare it to a yank converter because I haven't had one but some of my friends have the yank SS4k and like it.

Consistant 1.47's with a Vig 3600, H/C/I, MT Radials, 4.10's, 3300 raceweight. I've been looking for a SS4000 in hopes of dipping in the 1.3's or having the Vig loosened by Greg@FTI considering he's local to me. Another option is putting the nitrous back on the car.

I see this "custom made" thing get thrown in a lot. All the converter sponsors here use the same methods to "custom make" a converter. The basics of it are: 1.obtain the buyers info (power, tq, vehicle weight, gearing, powerband etc.) 2. Plug all that into a formula and 3. Use the information to determine blade pitch inside the converter to create the desired stall speed for the buyer's vehicle. 4. Actually assemble the converter. All the converter manufacturers do these same 4 steps. Its nothing special per se.

My converter was flat sheets of steel till I order'd it. Bout as custom as you can get. I think what he was trying to say was you have to call FTI, you can't just get online and order a "FTI" 4000, like you can others. I see Alot of people picking their own stuff. We didn't even discuss stall speed till the very end. Too many people get hung up on that
I ordered my FTI online... http://www.pm-fl.com/catalog/product...910jasi75lmc61
It works ok... could probably be better if it was custom since I'm making about 200whp more then it was designed for. Guess I could send it back one of these days.
