Default Is it crazy idea or anyone doing it?
Hi i am ordering my build 4l60e tomorrow. so i have this idea on running like 4.88 (or higher ;]) gear and use my overdrive through 1/4 mile. But i will have to get overdrive gear built.
So i got a question is anyone doing it or is it gonna slow you down due to big rpm drop going in to over drive?
Or should i go with 4.11 or 3.73 gears and just use first 3 gears.
Thanks for your input guys
oh yeah will be running 3400 rpm stall 2.

Forgot to mention its not by any means my daily driver. Just drag/weekend racer

I'm running 4.56s' with 4L60E and gotta go into 4th(overdrive) to finish the 1/4.
For 1/8,4.88s' are excellent.

i guess i was just wondering if there was a big drop in rpm going in to overdrive that slows you down
