difference between 98-02 camaro 4l60e trans

Default difference between 98-02 camaro 4l60e trans

whats the difference in the auto trans 4l60e between the 98-02 camaro firebird ls1 cars? anything at all? i have a 2000 and if i bought one from a 2002, is it exactly the same bolt up with electronics and all?
what about a 98?

98-02 was the same, no difference that would stop from swapping them around.

From my understanding some of the early trans (like my 98) will let the car start from a stop in 2nd gear if you select it.

But nothing physically stops you from swapping them.

Thats the PCM commanding it to do that.

What about a 6cyl swap to LS1?
Can you swap the transmissions from V6 to V8 as long as you change the bell housings and converters?

Same 4l60es but might wanna swap your flexplate while its out though.

Tailshaft is different and likely the shift linkage bracket on the side. But those two can be swapped out.
