Its seems the same people over and over every thread we are mentioned.

So the ones I know I will address.

NOMONEYZ had a failure under warranty we fixed it he did have to pay shipping which is the proceedure for every trans builder here as far as I know. Then near two years later he broke BEAST sunshell just one of those things we dont make the beast he posted a picture the trans was great other than where it broke. We offered the 950 restore which hey I think is a good deal considering that it includes parts, labor and shipping both ways with a whole new warranty considering most charge 250 or 300 plus parts plus shipping and give a typical 90 day warranty if that, Not cutting just stating facts. I think in his opinion we should have warrantied the transmission forever as long as he was under the power level its rated to Im not sure. But since then he pops up in threads regular. YEARS AGO BY THE WAY,

HEYMOEJ
His brother bought a trans from us he ran it a while it broke unexplained we sent another and oddley it literally melted down, Then we sent a last one which BTW I built and tested myself and everything worked. It was never installed in the car rather was disassebled first by another builder then reassembled and placed on the dyno and they said statred in second, I have no idea it started in first for me thats all I will say about that, But in addition he received a refund and kept the transmission, Again this was years ago and to this day it continues thread after thread.

2004 RED GT-OH
I have no clue about 13 post hmm, I can say we have never been another company only performabuilt and we have never had someones trans for 6 months to repair period so on that I call bull, now there was a company with a similar name a few years ago in the north east cant remeber there exact name anymore they actually copied our website an stuff now they did stuff like that so who knows.
But then again he mentioned and thats why I bring that up a few years ago.
The guys name was like Brad seibein or somethng like that. I just remember him because he copied and pasted our website to his and I got several calls from people having isues thinking we were him. We had to contact him and threaten legal action to get hi to take our stuff off his site. I think he was located in Maryland.

As for as the pans bolt leaking this can happen as mentioned when the trans goe through some heat cycles we have since included instruction to recheck after a few days.

As for shipping on warranties again I know of no company that does not the only exception is we dont if the failure is within the first 30 days.

But fact sometimes things do break they break for every company. I have yet to see anyone that has had no failures.
Another fact we dont have that many, if we did we would never be able to give a 2 year warranty which is 2-4 times the warranty of many of our competitors. I mean who does that? Warranty a transmission no questions ask for two years in a car or truck that you know is gonna have the crap beat out of it. Well we do and I think thats says alot.

From what I can tell all the builders on this site are competent and good builders each offering something different. You have not and will never see me or hear me cut on another vendor on this site as I consider it trash talk and poor business manors.

As for the few who continualy hit thrreads about us over and over even after years and now 1000s of units and many many running in the tens and 9s and full size trucks 5600 lbs in the 10s and all these years since 2006 and still at it I can only say whatever floats your boat I guess I have better things to do myself.

As for me sure I could name people who have had failures even multiple failures with other vendors units but I dont and I wont because I know its its not typical as with us I can read 100s and 100s of threads of people who have had super service so the numbers say its just something that happens here and there and not the norm, Some dont wanna see that.

Off subject but on subject, I have three Visio TVs all were bought in 2005 one of them failed twice once under warranty and one time not but the other two well they have been kicking for the whole time and I have used them hard since i use them for security monitors and they run 24/7 so would I say Viso is bad , No I happy with the sevice because well I know sometimes things go wrong and sometimes they break and I abuse the hell out of them too. I dont think panel screens are really intened to be on 24/7. So thats just showing how I view things as oposed to others I guess.

End of rant and FOR THE OP QUESTION drive for a day normally then after it set over night start and let it warm up and the check the fluid level running and make sure at or just a little above crosshatch and then do what you will And you can feel confident if you do break it at sometime we will be here I will be here for you and one way or another we will get it taken care of . I dont think you can ask anymore of that from any company.Frank at PerformaBuilt

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Anyways I have no problems with mine. Not a good idea to throw a sponsor under the bus like that.

thank s frank , I would have just called if I knew there were going to be so many haters come in on my thread and for the record I have 2 friends with the level2 performabuilt and thats the reason I ordered mine , I also have a buddy who bought one from another vendor on here that I wont mention and has sent it back twice and he is only putting down 415 rwhp . so everything breaks in racing sooner or later sometimes sooner than expected but with a 2 year warranty at least you can get it fixed , I recieved my level 2 in about 9 days and this is the best my car has ever felt , kwik firm but smooth shifts , kwik downshifts and the stall is perfect for my setup , of course I have no traction now , so thanks performabuilt for a great tranny and stall and my friends also love theres.

Yes that happens to I have a guy last year. He must have called me a couple dozen times saying there was something wrong with his trans as it would not shift at WOT we even brought the trans back and checked it out all was great, Finally I hooked him up with a tuner friend of mine he had been trying to do a self tune and my friend looked at the tune and in ten minutes had all solved. So yes that does indeed happen from time to time.

Question on this.. was the second breakage still under the warranty? If it was, then why wasnt it fixed. If the trans was out of warranty, then nevermind.. lol

If you care to expand further on specifics, I'm all ears.

If theres a lot of failures in one area, the common denominator would be the tuner or installer. Theres plenty of tables in the PCM to jack up a trans.

Ever seen line pressures too high in the program that caused a failed thrust bearing in the engine from the converter pushing forward?
