Default noob 4l60e question.

I'm putting a 3600 stall converter in my 98 ls1 camaro. Can I do this without dropping the trans? If not can someone.give me a link to a guide on it.

No you can't.

Go search the tranny section and you should find something. A tranny cooler is pretty much a must do also and I would replace the rear main while you are there... BTW my shift shift points were all mucked up too so don't be surprised if you need a need a tuner to work that out for you....

I didn't completely drop mine. Just dropped the driveshaft, loosened up the tranny slid it back and down a little bit. Swapped converters and right back up. Actually done it 3 times. 2 of the 3 I had a buddy helping me. An extra hand is nice. Search around and you'll find a thread. I'll look tomorrow too.

weld a large steel plate(16x16) to a tube and place it on a big floor jack.
