Is there a difference in converters?
I'm happy with my Yank converter, especially the off-the-line performace
But I have had issues with the car not performing 100% on the top end, and there is a possibility that could be the efficency of the converter, but i have had other issues that also could be to blame, i wont know until i spend the money to go get it dynoed somewhere locked and unlocked.
What converter you get though should be based on your future goals for the car. If you want good performane, streetability, and you plan to stay with bolt-ons for a while i would do around a 3500 stall, or no less than 3200, no more than 3800. Just my .02

I would love to see a 3500 lb F-body spin tires at 70mph...in an automatic...with cam&heads....because I have never seent it yet! what tires do you run out back, 3.5 rims with 195's??????
[/QUOTE]This board absolutely kills me. Sarcastic comments out the ***.
Just because you have never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Joe Prince's car used to break em loose too. My buddy's stock viper can do it. I guess you need to find someone around you that actually has a car that makes power. I bet there are plenty of other guys on here that put out around the same numbers that I do with heads/cam and and a decent stall. I'm sure they would be more than willing to show you its possible. i had a LPE 383 vette with NX kit that ran low 10's at over 130...it didnt break loose 315 BFG DR at 70...killed them at 50, but not 70. I have a mid 11 second F-body/automaic now and it doesnt kill the BFG 315 DR at 70, or 50, but it does at 30-40...I still say no H/C full weight F-body is going to kill the tires at 70 with an auto...so yess I am calling BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

scarey enough at 30-40mph dry
Specially if you aren't dead straight like in a curve man. Thank god for ASR.
I see alot of M6 folks driving around with ASR off, but you got ballz with an A4 to rock out with asr off. Hit a small wet spot on the road in arc right when your converter unlocks at 60% tps and flashes.. Yes i've been there.
